The Quest Classic - Cursed Chess Set is an expansion to The Quest Classic, offering a captivating and immersive world with intricately hand-drawn visuals and challenging quests. Upon adding the expansion, players gain access to new territories and adventures. Notably, the expansion is also playable as a standalone game for those without the base game.
An urgent crisis has struck the realm as a significant mana leak has sapped the power of all inhabitants. While you can seal the leak, its irreversible consequences stand. Your crucial mission entails not only stemming the mana flow but also tracking down and defeating the malevolent being who has seized control of the King's monumental towers to incorporate them as rooks in his accursed chess set. By capturing the king and queen to finalize his assembly, he aims to invoke a demon that promises unrivaled dominion over this world. Your objective is to thwart his plans and eliminate both him and the summoned demon before the ominous ritual reaches completion.
This expansion particularly caters to beginners, encouraging the initiation of a new character for optimal enjoyment. To venture into the unexplored regions (inapplicable for standalone play), travelers must head to Matras harbor and enlist the guidance of Captain Verra, selecting "Cursed" as their destination. Furthermore, seasoned adventurers can undertake a high-level dungeon challenge with existing characters.
The creation of The Quest Classic - Cursed Chess Set is credited to Zarista Games (www.catacomber.com) with adaptation to iPhone by Redshift.
